A lot of people think this is our first album, well…… yes it was our first release but it was not our first album 😁☮️👍🏻

Hope Shines Through is our second album and was recorded and mixed by Geoff Allan ( he’s recorded bands like Mogwai, Arab Strap, Camera Obscura, The Delgados, and Foo Fighters to name but a few ) at CaVa Sound in Glasgow, Scotland and was one of the last albums to be recorded in CaVa’s Studio 1.

These ten tracks display a transition in sound Overhaul was going through both in playing and in songwriting at the time, whilst still retaining their raw grungy / rock sound they sprinkle the album with Neil Young , Credence Clearwater Revival , The Doors influenced songs which makes this album an interesting listening.

Shortly after the release of Hope Shines Through, Andy opened several shows for Violent Femmes on their 25th Anniversary Tour in Ireland. Life long friendships were made, which led to the next Overhaul album “Here and There” being recorded in Milwaukee, USA with then Femmes drummer Victor DeLorenzo on drums.

Sadly, we lost John Bradley a couple of years ago. His drumming on this album is fantastic and really makes Hope Shines Through special.
